Is the federal pointe inn close to the gettysburg battlefield or any of the other historical monuments/ museums related to the civil war? Could we walk to these places or would we need a taxi/ bus? Thank you!

You definitely need to drive to the battlefield. But the town is a nice walk.

The hotel is a close drive to museums by car. I would not try to walk the entire outer part of the Gettysburg Museum grounds. The auto loop around the grounds is marked a 24 miles. The Eisenhower Museum only allows buses that run from the Gettysburg Museum.

Agree with above comment. Can walk to town but the Gettysburg battlefield is too far away and is massive. You need a car or a tour bus.

It is close to the town, you have some museams close by, others a little far, but for the battlefield you definitely need a car, at least you take a tour bus
