My husband and I enjoyed an amazing time attending this hotel, we were treated so respectfully, and it's located in walking distance of a lot of local history! The Pub atmosphere below the hotel had great energy and the food was so perfect! The hotel staff are very knowledgeable of the history of the building as well! I couldn't more highly recommend this place!! Oh! And the airtub?? What a perfect way to relax at the end of a day of exploring! Please consider staying here, you won't regret it!

The room was beautiful, the service was wonderful, and the only thing I would have changed at all would have been to have a higher toilet. I'm significantly above average height and felt like I was back in elementary school. Otherwise, the shower was very nice, water pressure good. Definitely would stay again.

When reviewing places to stay; this was the perfect location - not in the heart of downtown but not too far away. This hotel location allowed us the ability to walk everywhere we wanted to go within the downtown area (20 minute walk max) but also was close enough that the battlefields were a short drive away. The historic nature of the hotel also drew us in to staying there. Any employee we interacted with was courteous and gave us information that was useful to our stay. Housekeeping was great and although we did not use the coffee service, it was available each morning. The only thing we wish was available was food at the pub but understood why it was not an option. Overall a great place to stay for our extended weekend.

My husband and I were in Gettysburg for the afternoon from York and someone at the GOPub recommended checking out the bar in this hotel. The bar was closed, but im so GLAD we tried. LISA at the front desk was so kind and helpful. She allowed us to check out the premises and check out the bar downstairs (you have to take a few minutes and look at the old photos of school children. So amazing). She even offered to show us some empty rooms so we could get a feel for the place. While we didn't stay here we LOVED every minute of our visit, mostly thanks to Lisa, who told us about all the cool things in the building and the efforts taken by the owner to keep as much old charm as possible. The rooms are beautiful and look very comfy. We will be staying here in the future.
