She was a Suffragist
Dora Kelly also known as Mrs. Lawrence Lewis, was an American suffragist. She was active in the National American Woman Suffrage Association and later helped found the National Woman's Party. Lewis took part in the Silent Sentinels protest to advocate for women's suffrage. She was born on October 13, 1862 and died on January 31, 1928 (aged 65)
If your asking about the Dora Kelly Park, see the bio for Dora Kelly on the Alexandria parks website. She lived across the street from me in Dowden Terrace, was my Cub Scout leader for a while and had a great love for nature. There have been many George Washingtons, but not all of them were the first President of the US.
