You can clean cages, or sit in the cat community room and.socialize with the cats. You can help at outreach events by transferring animals or taking applications etc...there's lots you can do. Call them.

I don't work for the humane society but my daughter has volunteered with them at adoption events in the community for a few hours here and there.
