Used auto pay for years to donate. Lost my job and wanted to cancel my donation. This organization refused. REFUSED! Told me to contact the credit card company. Had to cancel my card. Sent email regarding this to HS CC and received no reply. This charity charged another month to my new card and it too had to be canceled. Do not donate through auto pay to this organization.

The people of Carroll county pay for an emergency drop off room that is not accessible.why is there an emergency drop off room when it's locked?there is a sign saying"any animals removed from this room is a prosecuted offense.why have it then?you want to be paid for a job your not doing.you shouldn't have to make an appointment.if all your going to do is put them down then why not just say that?humane is who defines it,there's nothing humane about false information.this institution needs to do better

Went there to put my dog of 12 years down and wasnt told until arrival that I wasnt able to come in to be with my dog, the worker who put him down was a cold shrew of a woman who showed 0 empathy and just made everything worse for our family. Isnt it supposed to be a HUMANE society?

Check with your local shelter. Vets charge more
No you can bring them in during business hours
I'm sure they'd love them, how nice of you. I think they may have staffing issues so you may be better off calling them directly. 🙂
Yes..lots of opportunities but under 16 a parent has to be with them. Call the main number and ask for the volunteer coordinator.
Calling the shelter itself is the first step.
Check Petsmartcharities.org they are linked to the local rescues & the CC Humane Society, which has the best pricing for adoptions. There are So Many dogs out there, good luck!
I was told that they do if they dont get adopted in 3 months or so.
The HSCC does not provide board and care services.
I know there are foster parent organizations for rabbits but I don't know if this humane society does that. You should call them and ask. I picked up my foster dog there, but I worked through a rescue group Tara's House. The human society contacted Tara's and then Tara's told me that Pablo needed a foster home.
Yes they do.
No
I was there about...2 weeks ago and there were an ABUNDANCE of kittens period😊! I am quite sure there we're black ones.
I don't think it has to be Michelle specifically. Anyone there should be able to help you, even if you just walk in with the cat during business hours.
Try calling them to see if they have an opening for a volunteer.
They are a nice clean facility that is very thorough about who they hire. If this sounds like you give him a call. He's a fairly new director who has implemented amazing programs there compared to the out going director. Goid luck!
0 to 20
Yes but call to make an appointment
Yes they did come from the humane society originally
I would think you would have to live trap it, then call animal control. I doubt you can shoot it in a populated area.
Just give them a call, I'm sure they can be of help.
They were there this past Sunday. Won't be there again until fall. You call or look at the health department website. They host these events.
They probably would so long as it's not expired. Call and ask.
You can clean cages, or sit in the cat community room and.socialize with the cats. You can help at outreach events by transferring animals or taking applications etc...there's lots you can do. Call them.
Humane Society of Carroll County is a no kill shelter. There have adoptable pets that have stayed there for many months before finding their forever home.
Thurmont is in Frederick County. That Humane Society phone # is: (301) 694-8300
The Humane Society of Carroll County is a no kill shelter.
They prefer you make an appointment to bring in a surrendered animal.
Yes tbey do in tbe back
And put up signs all around the area and neighborhoods . Also if you have FB put a post with a picture and ask friends to posy.in their sites too...need a lot of exposure. Someone had seen him. And yes go up therr eith a picture of your dog. They have a book theyll put the picture and all your info in. When a new dog comes in yhey always check yhe book first. They may not post all the pictures of at large dogs on the web...only available ones.
Go up there and ask to look at the dogs. Yell thrm yours is missing. Bring proof of rabies so you dont get fined .
You have to call them to see about that !
You have to push i think 3 to get to the shelter. Just get through it to a secretary and ask her to speak to dave.
Yes. Ask for Dave.
Yes
Yes, I am not sure about mice but they do have guinea pigs and ferrets (they are an open shelter).
Yes, they will. Call them for details.
Go on helpfundme and follow directions
I'm sure they would love them.
Yes
They aren't no kill, but they are low kill. Kill rates at a shelter include animals who are sick and dying and animals that have a failure to thrive. However, they do not euthanize healthy adoptable animals.
This is just a rescue. You will need to acquire pet insurance thru your vet.
they do.
Report it to the humane society.
