Hi Lauryn, Mission San Juan Capistrano is a great day trip destination for your family this summer. Participate in crafts and activities offered all week long including our adobe brick making and arrowhead necklace craft, enhance your visit with a guided tour or our multi-language audio tour featuring music, history and storytelling about early California history. Feeding the koi fish is a visitor favorite and make sure to stop by the Mission Clubhouse featuring more hands-on learning. Bring the whole family as visitors of all ages will enjoy California Landmark #200. After your visit, you can shop, dine, tour and explore all that our historic downtown has to offer. Download a downtown map by visiting our website: https://www.missionsjc.com/volunteers-partners/heritage-tourism-association. The Mission is located within walking distance of the train, show your Metrolink ticket and receive a free child admission with the purchase of an adult admission.
Good place to go if some history is what you want her to learn. Besides the environment is very beautiful during summer plus that little town around it. Easy to spend a whole day there.
It is definitely a good place i took my son and he is the same age and he enjoyed it there. Especially the ice cream and frozen yogurt shop they have there.its small but it'll make a nice afternoon trip.
