Or you can fly into Jackson Hole Airport, rent a car and drive up to Yellowstone through Grand Teton National Park. It's a nice and very scenic drive.
Airport in Jackson is officially in Grand Teton National Park. Closest airport is Yellowstone Airport (WYS). Officially 2 miles outside of the park. It is suggested flying in to Salt Lake City and then to Yellowstone Airport. Renting a car is recommended. Nothing is really within walking distance.
Jackson Hole, WY or Bozeman, MT are the closest airports. Rent a car. The roads are well maintained but some are closed in the winter so u need to check before you go.

there isn't an airport there due to it being inside the park but it is easy to get to by road. when you go there, the rangers will give you a road map. Is is easy to get to and lots of places to park.
