A definite hi light at Yellowstone. Architecturally stunning, transporting you to a by-gone era. Clean and very well maintained. Guests were polite and well mannered. Staff were beyond helpful. The were genuinely nice. Great coffee shop. Wonderful gift shop.

We didn't have a reservation but still they were able to seat us right away. Staff was very friendly. Food was delicious. We loved the sticky toffee pudding so much we went back for it the following day.

Location is the key, otherwise it would be overpriced. Nice historic hotel otherwise and staff is very nice. Unfortunately, somewhat close to our room, they started some work on the outside at 8 am....and with no tv in the room, very very slow Ethernet (bring a router if you want access to emails/144p YouTube etc....) It was wake up. Which in this case it wasn't an issue since there are so many things to see/do in Yellowstone that we were gonna wake up around that time anyways .

Would have given 5 stars if the only restaurant had a rotating menu. It is the same menu every day. We stayed for 3 nights and would have like some variation since they did not have everything on the menu. It was early season (May) and we have never been before, so we don't know if they rotate the menu at other times. ROOMS: Very comfortable; large king-sized beds, comfortable bathrooms (see pics). RESTAURANT: The halibut was the best dish ...when they had it. COFFEE SHOP: Opens early, served good coffee and LARGE pre-made bagel/egg/cheese sandwiches that you had to microwave (kept very cold, so it was impossible to get it all to the right temperature)...also had packaged cinammon buns and yogurt. LOBBY BAR: Very good, very busy. Bartender was great. GIFT SHOP: One of the nicest in the park....good size, but nothing like the General Stores.

Thre Hotel itself is not open because of COVID and inability to house staff with the mandates. The cottages are available to rent. They're about $300-350/night.

About $700 but you save hours of time driving into the park each day.

They did in the cabins, but pay attention to where in the parks they can go. It may not be worth it for the dogs sake.

We stayed in the cabins. No TV, no radio, no wi fi. But at least there is electricity.
