I'm not an expert, but generally speaking I've been told don't feed the wildlife. If the animal is injured, drop it off at the Wildlife Care Center hospital. They will rehabilitate it. There is a drop off box for after hours. Or bring it in first thing in the morning. They open at 8am.
Yes I did. The mother is either injured and can't back to them, or deceased. Their eyes are open, fully furred, even the tail, so assume they are at least 8 weeks old. The one that was injured showed in the yard this morning. I felt so bad because he/ she was pulled out of the nest by older male and bitten on its body and face. I felt so helpless because it happened in my neighbors yard. From what I read it said they eat nuts and fruit, but nothing.
What happened with the baby squirrel? Did you look on the internet to find what they eat? Did you call the South Florida Wildlife Center and ask them what you could feed it or what to do?
