You couldn't be more than wrong. The only animals that are euthanized are those that have no chance of living or quality of life. The south Florida Wildlife Center does everything to rescue rehabilitate and return the animals back to the natural environment. I suggest that you might volunteer at the center to see the great work that they actually do.
Mass maxx, you are misinformed. The Center rescues and rehabilitates thousands of animals every year. It raises orphans, treats the injured and provides surgery to remove fishhooks, set broken bones and pin injured wings. We are also one of the few local wildlife rehabilitation centers that admits all species. Regrettably, the world is a dangerous place and not all of our patients survive their injuries; however, we do all we can and are one of the highest volume wildlife rehabilitation centers in the nation.
I personally have taken in injured animals and if they were able to be saved, then they will do what they can, but if there is no hope then yes, the animal will be humanely euthanized to end their suffering.

No way. I don't think so. They help the wild animal in need but if they can't save them. I guess the only option is to put them to sleep
Will they rehab a baby possum or euthanize ot?
True brought a bady bird that i hand raised for 8 days and they euthanized it. Its more of a slaughterhouse then anything. better of leaveing the animal alone he has better chance of surviving
Mass you can't be more far than the truth

I found an injured bird but have no way of getting it to the center. Are there any options?
