What time do the gates close on weekends in July? If you want to stay out later than that, is it possible to have someone drop you off at the gate and walk in from there or is it very far?

I think the official closing time is 10pm

It's a decent walk back to the campground. The gates close at sundown.

Currently they are locking them at 10pm. Its about 1 mile from the gate to the camp grounds and there is a spot to park next to the entrance that can accommodate 3-4 vehicles.
