I have a canon s1 IS that intermittently gives me a "lens error" and tries to shut down. I remove the batteries to turn the camera off. Then it will work OK for several shots until I get a lens error again. Is this problem fixable?

Why not call them and fond out.

I believe they could fix your problem.

I'm not from there, but I've been a customer a number of times. That sounds like something they could probably fix, although the S1 is getting quite old... may not be worth as much as the repair. If you mean the SL1, I'd take it in and see what they think.
