I had a periformis injection yesterday. Today, I feel moderate to severely fatigued. I also have a general malaise with headache. Is it likely that I am having a reaction to the shot? What was in the shot? How long am I likely to feel bad for?

1. If you are having concerns about how you are feeling after a procedure, you should first call the provider who did it and talk with them. 2. That being said, it's unlikely to have any serious reaction to any medicine this long after receiving said medicine. It's more of a minutes to hours occurrence rather than an hours to days time frame. 3. The shot was most likely a mixture of local anesthetic and anti-inflammatory/steroid medicine. 4. Assuming that the way you are feeling is related to the shot you received, I would expect it to last a few days. Lasting longer than that you should probably go see your primary care doctor for their opinion. 5. If in doubt, see number one above!
