Upstate Veterinary Specialists will not give you an estimate without seeing your dog. I took my dog in to be checked for cancer. They did his surgery within 30 mins of seeing him. They are a great clinic / hospital. Called and kept me updated even called after hours. They saved my fur babies life and I highly recommend them.

Upstate Veterinary Specialists will not give you an estimate without first seeing the dog. There are a lot of factors that need to be figured in for a cost. You can't find a better vet to do the procedure but if money is your issue I would call around. The most reputable Veterinary practices will not give you pricing over the phone without having seen the dog.

If ypu are talking about cataracts, it will cost at least $160 to see the ophthalmologist. She is very nice. Both eyes may not need to be done. It will cost in the thousands .

I don't think you'll get an answer from them here. Give them a call & ask. They may have to see the animal first. I can tell you you won't find any better care for your pets. My dog had bone cancer & They were all so good with him & gave him the best care possible. They were also very understanding & pacient with us. Although we had to let him go in the end we are very grateful to the Drs. & other staff for the extra time we had with our furbaby. Please do call & give them a chance to help.

My dog broke both legs at different times and they were great with him. It has been 2 years and it's as if it never happened. You don't have to worry about their honesty on costs, options, outcome probabilities, etc. They will tell you like it is and then you make the decision. No pressure, but yes, they have to examine your dog for themselves. They will not take someone else's diagnosis and treatment plan.
