They never begged me but i choose to be a blessing to all servers no matter where i go. They make a living by serving others even if it's buffet.
They never do that when I go. I think waitresses only make about $2.50 an hour, so a lot of them rely on their tips to break even.
The waitress tried to cheat my wife and I out of our money today. Plus the staff was extremely rude to us. They also seem racist there; the waitresses kept attending to the Caucasian patrons but ignored the African American patrons. They even disrespected a Middle Eastern family there. And after all that, they STILL expected a tip, which the waitress tried to cheat us out of. Plus one of them didn't want to tell us what one of the food items was. In short, the customer service at the China Buffet stinks.
Interesting that asking for tips is the focus of the reviews - and the food is secondary. I never have been asked for a tip and I always leave one. Great food, reasonable price - and leaving tips is a system still used in America that dates back hundreds of years. It's how the staff makes money because the law allows them to be underpaid due to the tips.
I go to this restaurant every week. In more than 3 years I've never had a waitress ask, let alone beg for a tip. The staff is great. So the sushi chef and wait staff always receive a tip. Great place to eat!!
Never happened to me before
I paid via card and put a tip through card too bc i had no cash. I could tell the waitress was unhappy with my tip because she started mumbling. I couldn't tell what she said. Theno when I walked towards the restroom, she looked at me and continued to talk to her co-workers, probably talking about me too. Not planning to return.
Had it happen to me too. Pointed to it and standed there to see what I would put. In return I gave her a big fat 0. So disrespectful...
The waitress handed me the bill and then pointed to where it said tip, then she herself said tip.
The waitresses are very attentive, extremely pleasant. They have never asked for a tip
