First of all, YouTube how to change strings on a (acoustic, electric, 12 string etc.) guitar, whichever you are trying to re-string...the one u own.... the process is mostly the same but there are slight differences for the different types. And the video, if a good one, should tell you not only how-to the process, but give you a guide on type, brand, and the personal preference of the video maker. 2nd, ...if u didn't find what u need from your first search, then Google or YouTube the type of guitar (acoustic, electric, etc) you have and "replacement strings." Basically they have steel(electric) copper (for acoustic) and Nickle (mostly electric blues or steel guitar). the string gage... its really up to ur preference. Light strings (.009) are easy on your fingers and easier to play but twangy, and thick gage(.014) are harder to play but resonate more, and have a fuller sound. That number refers to the thinnest string. They also have nylon for acoustic beginners and classical guitar.
