Great place to be creative with friends. Interesting projects beyond just signs. We decorated a cornhole set.

Fun workshop knowledgeable hosts and nice. My planter had a knot hole and was chipped on one side which chipped off more when sanding. Nothing said of price reduction. Too expensive for me. Also had to reschedule due to fever and ice -snow. Wonder why there is a reschedule charge when you paid so much for the product.

I have to share so hopefully this will help the owner and employees (not all) to be sympathetic and empathetic to their customers who help them stay in business. This past November we had an unexpected death in the family, which was extremely traumatic and difficult for my kids, myself and my family. We immediately notified the owner and asked if we can reschedule. Unbeknownst to us, all she cared about was the money. Trust me we would have loved to not have been going through this horrific tragedy and instead attend our session. After numerous requests to reschedule and not lose our money, she agreed and added a $25.00 rescheduling fee on top of the $75.00 that we had already paid for each project. Unfortunately, on the day of the rescheduled project date, my mother’s dog had an emergency double eye surgery & could not attend. Her project was paid for. We were going to do it for her, but we were told we can’t do it for her. She has to be there in person. We then asked can we take it home unfinished so we can do it at home - NO. An employee did the project for us. Not only were we treated horribly from the beginning, we were treated badly by an employee while there. We will never ever recommend this company! Things need to change. We were looking forward to have a very much needed wonderful family day. Words of wisdom… treat your customers with kindness and be sympathetic to situations in life that are not in anyone’s control.

Bring noise canceling headphones and something to cover/protect your car with unless you want to ruin your car’s interior! They will NOT provide you with a simple piece of paper to protect your car seat if your board’s paint/stain does not dry completely. They offered to give me the filthy paint covered plastic table covering to wrap my freshly/partially wet project in- the actually told me to turn it clean side out (putting the paint covered side against my newly painted project! 🤦♀️) but they flatly refused to offer a clean piece of paper or plastic. It was fun but quite expensive and a good time was completely ruined to save them 50 cents of paper. 😢

Drills, hammers, mallets, nails, sand paper, paint and oil based stains are used during a workshop, so precautions need to be taken. If you have a condition that will increase your likeliness of experiencing injuries or breathing issues, please ask us ahead of time if this is right for you. We also recommend you wear clothing that is not special to you. Stain, paint, saw dust and wax are always being passed around in a workshop environment, so choose wisely in your clothing selection!!
Most Board and Brush Creative Studios use environmentally friendly low VOC stains. Our designer paints are odor free water based products. We believe in providing industry proven materials that impact the earth as little as possible.
