To add to the owner's response: a visit is helpful. You can observe people engaged in making pottery, and interact with them. They also have items for sale. A unique and memorable experience.
Hi Audra. You can do both at Sawmill Pottery. We offer paint-your-own pottery as a drop-in activity, although recommend that you call ahead to be sure we aren't in a class, but also offer a variety of classes and workshops for you to actually make your own things. We have our current schedule up to date on our website at sawmillpottery.com, or you can schedule a private lesson with us over the phone . We don't offer drop in times to just use clay, but do have open studio time for people that have taken a series of lessons or classes with us to use the studio. I hope that helps. If you have any other questions shoot an email, or call the studio at 860-963-7807. Thanks, David, studio manager.
You can make your own at particular classes. I went one Saturday and my daughter and I each made 2 bowls and chose our colors, too.
