So I went to my local big y yesterday in east longmeadow an one of the store mangers or higher ups told me I couldn't cash in my coinstar receipt without a big y card(membership card). Which I had done for years. Now is this true or was I lied too.

I am not familiar with this type of transaction.

It was only for 16 dollars an I've cashed in over 100 dollars once with no problem an even one of the cashiers said she never heard of it until her boss had just said somethin right there

I never need my card at the St. James ave location and have cashed in $30.00 and $50.00. May be something new?

I think is because your coinstar receipt is more than 20 dollars you need your ID, I dont know you need your bigY card

Don't really know.....however, they may require some verification since, while unlikely, you could have found the receipt that had been lost. Good luck.
