As a new resident of Florida, what identification should i bring to obtain a Florida driver's license? can i go directly to your license test location or do i need an appointment? if so, how do i make an appointment? thank you

You'll need your birth certificate, passport, ID from previous state and a current light bill, lease or something that shows your current address. As far as appointments, if you're just going to get a DL and tags no appointments are needed. Hope this helps.

I have always walked in, usually it's not a long wait. You will need your birth certificate, something (like a bill) that has your name and Florida address on it, and your other drivers license. You will need to bring your birth certificate once, you'll get special stamp on your license and if you lose your DL, it will make the process of getting another, a whole easier!!
