The long term parking is so close, it's not worth the extra 6 bucks/day to use short term. Unless of course you have limited mobility. SRQ is a small airport. I've flown in or out of there at least 60+ times. I can't imagine there is an off-site parking area unless it's a private enterprise.
I agree with Brian. Unless you have a boatload of luggage, it is probably quicker to walk than wait for the shuttle.
Long term parking is onsite and they have a shuttle bus that circles. Although the lots aren't that far from the terminal anyway. Very easy, I travel alot and park my car long term very often.
