I would suggest you bring back the compressor, with your receipt, & ask if they have the exact one you need ? Hopefully they'll have it & exchange it for the correct one. If by chance they don't have the right one, I'm not positive about there policy, but I would think they would return you your money & ask all the other nearby establishments if any of them have the correct one you need. Yes please bring the reciept, compressor, and your original compresor as well so we can match up the correct part. We will swap it out without a problem.
Return the item undamaged with the receipt, so that you can exchange it.
