AC is doing a Clear The Shelter promo this Saturday the 18th starting at 11am. Adoption fees will be waived for animals over a certain age. See their website for more details.

The site states 60-120 for cats, 60-250 for dogs, based on the animal's age and location. Some have higher fees if they are in higher demand. What is interesting is they have an adoption guide to match you with the best fit. See their site for requirements for adoption. Good luck😉

How much will it be to adopt a pit bull puppy or German shepherd or a grey Labrador retriever?

Louise Edwards PR | Sep 12, 2018

I like both The Anti Cruelty Society and Chicago Canine Rescue. Wonderful organizations and dogs (ACS has cats too). I have adopted dogs from both. Great pets and great experience. ACS also has a caring, experienced vet on site. At both shelters, you have a chance to meet each pet separately in private indoor or outdoor areas. Pets pick you as much as you pick them. I would have happily adopted any of the pets I viewed and played with...but there always seems to be a soulmate--and you both know! Then I bring my husband to visit and luckily they are excited about him too. Both shelters are involved in off-site events to showcase their wonderful pets and have great space for you to experience private magical moments with your amazing pet. Pricing is not about demand at either of these shelters, nor is that a normal shelter policy. Adoptions are very affordable. Just remember, raising your pet is the big expense. (No college, but food, training, baths, dog walkers/tbd, vet, etc.)
