Why does this walmart constantly break the law and illegally detain customers by asking to see a receipt? I am a constitutionalist and ive had it with this treatment. Why do customers have to wait not only in 1 line but 2 in order to leave the store?

You do not have to show them your receipt, by law after you purchased the items. They are your property and you have the right to refuse.

They check receipts because of all the walkouts. Why just this morning someone tried to walk out with $ 980 worth of merchandise from the hardware department I couldn't believe that this guy was so bold to try it. I was next in line but waited to see what was going to happen, they should of called the police but the guy ran and what good would it do. They wouldn't catch him.

If you were a true Constitutionalist then you'd know the constitution only holds the government accountable, not private corporations. Just the same as if you went in there to protest the government, they can ask you to leave. That's not violating your constitutional rights.

They have been sued in the past and lost in other states for doing it can't wait to be detained for saying no to showing recipe and see what lawyers fight over that case. Wake up Walmart.

I feel that what they ask for my receipt it's because they think I'm stealing, i don't steal so there for i don't show my receipt, they have cameras so if they want to double check me they can do it that way. It's against Constitution.

I recently watched a girl get stopped with a cart full because they recognized her from walking out with a stuffed back pack the day before. No one is being physically held against their will and you dont have to do it but they do it so real criminals dont take your receipts. Why do you think the new cosmetic register is there. JS.
