IT IS A SCAM!!!!!!...i was scammed in February by someone using a fake eBay email scam. I put the money on gift cards and sent they the pics as proof and they said the money would be held by eBay in an account until they shipped the vehicle and I approved it on the eBay website. THAT WAS A COMPLETE LIE!!! There is a fake live chat screen on the page also.but after I sent the pics they emailed me again saying there was a $1500 insurance deposit I wasn't told about in the beginning but i had to pay it to get it shipped to me...i felt weird about it after it was too late. IF THEY CAN'T COME TO YOU, OR YOU GO TO THEM TO SEE THE ACTUAL VEHICLE...DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! I FEEL SO STUPID BECAUSE I KNOW BETTER, I HAVE 4 KIDS,WAS IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING AND WAS JUST DESPRATE AND IN NEED OF ANOTHER TRUCK ASAP AND IT WAS A GREAT PRICE FOR SUCH A NICE TRUCK. ALMOST SEEMED TOO GOOD TO TRUE...AND IT WAS!!!!!
First off Ms. Marsha Smith & Ms. Keonn Collins, if you are posting on eBay Inc. about someone SCAMING you using their LOGO and structure and they did not contact you; then they are liable for the crimes to continue. Secondly, did you contact eBay Inc. to give them all the e-mail routing numbers, the numbers of the gift cards, the contact phone number, etc., so the could follow the "paper-trail" and stop these scam artist from using their name, cards, and logo. You wrote this Post on a corporate blog ten (10) months ago; this problem should exist today; if it does, now the responsibility lies on corporate. I, myself have an eBay Invoice with it colorful logo on it that matches the same logo on their gift cards for a nice car I bought for $1,600.00. Now, if this is a scam, eBay owes me $1,600.00 because they were warned about this problem 10 months ago. If they did contact all these people who have been scammed by a false replica of their company....
I did not purchase s car but a boat.Sent the money on Ebay cards.then I also get email about $1,500 needed for insurance & shipping. Was not told about this before purchasing. They used Ebay logos also.Now as a senior citizen on a fixed income I'm out a lot of money.Its going to be very difficult for the next few months The seller said she reduced the price as she was shipping out of county with her military unit & it was cheaper to reduce price rather than store it for over a year Also said her husband died & she would not use it any more This all happened last week I'm beside myself on what to do now. I will never trust Ebay again.
