This is New Orleans we are talking about. Although this is a nice place with good food, and I wouldn't suggest showing up drunk and smelly, I think you can dressed please yourself
No shorts or jeans. You would not be turned away, but why not dressy casual ..
Why eat such fare at less than your best? Go dressed to impress to get the full experience.
The staff is smartly dressed...on the elegant side. You would feel underdressed in jeans. Show the place a little respect and wear something nice out of your closet.
Do not go to this place. It's nothing but a tourist trap now. You will be disappointed and be overcharged. Almost any other fine dining restaurant in New Orleans would be a better option.
