I took a 4 week class, this past April. We had fun and I'll earn some techniques but you need more than four session to really get the know how of the wheel. One thing that was disappointing was that we glazed our one of our completed bowls but when we went to pick them up we could not find them. I went back at least five times to find them and they weren't there. One of the volunteers stated that people take other people completed projects. They are not real concern about trying to control who and what takes things from the completed projects. I wasn't happy I wanted to see how my cup turned out.
This is a welcoming community studio where you can take classes on how to make pottery from scratch. You can make anything you'd like from functional items like teapots, to sculptural items like yard gnomes or jewelery. They have several different kilns too, so you could bring in a painted teapot to fire if you know what temperature the pieces should be fired to. The temperature is very important, so if you buy pieces online to paint, make notes of what you bought! Or better yet, play with clay during open studio nights Fri or sat night 6-10, only $5 for non-members. (Or a free tour anytime.)
not sure if they have teapots already made, but you could always create one yourself! the volunteers who work there are happy to help!
You make your own stuff I believe but they have really helpful people
