Yes there are many hotels in and around the hospital however the hospital also provides a living quarters on the campus of the hospital it's basically for friends and families of terminally ill patients and I believe they're very expensive. However hotels are in walking distance from the hospital in that area just check with Google or other local Information Services.

The Hanson House is a hospitality house available for family of patients in Trauma/ICU, NICU and the Cancer Center. The rates are very reasonable. A referral from a hospital social worker is required before checking in. Hanson House is a non-profit, that is assisted by Desert Regional volunteers. There are various hotels that offer discounted rates for families of patients.

I was there back in July of `17 due to my son being premature at 7 months, he needed speical care, and i live here in calexico. they have a place right next to the hospital (forgot the name) but we paid $10 a night for a nice little room with 2 queen beds, shower and restroom. plus they have a kitchen a dinning room for all the guests that stay there.

The Hanson House is on campus and I don't know the exact rate, but I don't think they're "very expensive". I know what the employee cost is and that's not expensive. Contact them to see if you're eligible and what their rates are.
