We fared very well after Dorian, some large debris on the beach, not too much erosion. Just lately we have had some erosion from the rough surf and very high tide, but MacBeach is still beautiful.

I went back in June, before Dorian. Dorian should not have affected it. It's absolutely pristine. There is 2 miles of beach, so you have some privacy.
I visited the park about a year ago so unable to say what the beach is like now. However I'm sure the park rangers would have disposed of anything dangerous - they do a great job
