We have hired a car for 16 days from Los Angeles airport and have just been informed our flight has changed to a day later. We have tried to call sixt but no joy. We want to know if we can extend the rental for 1 more day with not to much expense?

They will most definitely charge you a huge amount for changing reservation especiallu if it is in the last minute. I think they have a 48hr grace period but after that, you will be charged for each day rental, whether you pick the car or not.. my suggestion would be to not change your reservation if it is later than 48hrs. You need to call and confirm on this extra day cost. If possible, ask them to send you the extra cost in writing via email. Otherwise, they might charge you with unexpected high price. Good luck

I changed my reservation pick up time 8 hours later (less rental time overall) and was charged and additional 175.00 . May cost you a lot of extra money.
