It's Naw'lins Cher, be smart as you would in any city. In my many, many times there, i have never felt threatened or unsafe.
Rule of thumb: safest places in this city are the ones you pay get into. Pay to get in? Fairly safe/safer. No cover? Everybody’s in there. Cover charges almost exclusively pay for musicians and the doorman keeping out riffraff and shade. I pay up and smile when I find the places charging cover.
It's safe but your wallet isn't safe as they charge too much at their bar. Your sight lines won't be safe as it's not very well designed to see a show.
Call an Uber, and you good, parking sucks.
We had no problem and we walk from the river one nite and just be aware of your surroundings.
I've been to concerts by myself and haven't had any problems.
I would not wear gold.
Yes
Security is tight for the actual venue.
No
We didn't run into any problems. Had a nice time. Saw a few beggars, but no one gave us any trouble.
We were a party of three women and had no problems. Very historic venue.
Very
Yes a good friend of mine is a bouncer there. Very professional always check bags and wand females also pat males down to make sure there are no weapons.
Very safe there, surroundings not as crazy as Borboun St.
Great atmosphere
We were 3 women together and felt safe. I travel a lot,any times alone. I wouldn't go here at night alone, but felt perfectly comfortable with others with me. Just be aware of your surroundings.
Yes it is, more so than Bourbon street.
Probably no worse than anywhere else in French quarter. I had no problems.
The street too and from are pretty well lit but it's a tough area. The bar itself was comfortable enough. Was traveling with a couple of people. Wouldn't wander around alone. Could always uber up and out.
We went early enough so there weren't a lot of people, but i would keep an eye on your purse
