We brought a shoulder bag with us and had very small snacks. As we boarded, they looked but didn't say anything. The only request was to please finish our drinks (water bottles) and to wait until we departed. Tons of options on board.
I would call and ask them. However, they have food and drinks on board. Even adult beverages.
