The humanext society is a great place . I feel if you go there and if you don't find what you want, just tell them what you are looking for and I'm sure they will work with you.
You really need to keep checking often. Small dogs usually don't stay at the shelter very long before they are adopted.
You need to go up to the Humane Society and request to see their small dogs.
