They make other substrates which are great for guinea pigs, other than hay. If your daughter loves the guinea pig and takes good care of it, I would first seek other beddings. Guinea pigs are very social and live best with a companion, so if you only have one, it is best to find another companion as well...for best quality of life. While animals love their keepers, they find comforts in their own species that mankind cannot provide. :-) If she's looking for a good home, she could post a flyer at school and with permission of the parents, of course, another child could adopt and reduce the strain of another animal not having a forever home. :-)
Yes we accept Guniea Pigs..cost is probably variation depending on weight and age..im not sure on that..im just a kennel worker for now :)
Yes I have seen guniea pigs there. There is a charge for them to take an animal but I am not sure of the amount. Your best bet is to call them.
Yes they do and I'm not sure if they charge to take in animals, just tell them that your daughter is allergic.
