Bringing an umbrella is always a good idea especially if you are going to carry a backpack or use a stroller. Not only can you keep the rain off of you, but it is great to create shade to keep you cooler when standing outside in line! I recommend taking the umbrella out of any backpack and holding it at security check points; umbrellas tend to set off the metal detectors. If it is in the backpack and sets off the detector, the entire bag will be searched. Single and tandem strollers are preferred. They discourage side by side double strollers, but I observed many people still using them in the parks. I recommend calling guest relations for updated rental prices.

Yes you can bring your own umbrella stroller as long as it is within the size limits. This info can be found on the Disney website. The current cost and deposit for rental strollers is also on the website. Keep in mind that you will not be able to take the rental out of the park if you are going to park hop. So bringing your own has it's benefits.
