You would get a call thru to your husband, before them. Go there and wait them out. Sad but true.
Call your LOCAL not national Soc Sec office. You are missing out on a lot of money. My husband died Dec 20 2021. I called to file a claim. It takes a while to make an appt and file. BUT the money starts the day you report it. You may have lost over 1 year of earnings if you qualify. Call and they will figure it out.
