New plates, require the registry in one form or another, some insurance companies will do it for you, as will most dealers. The triple A office does not do new plates.

Try your insurance company. Mine handles getting plates for me. They have a registry runner that goes once a day

Not plates just have to I only renewed licence go to DMV but could b wrong call and check
