I renewed my drivers' license today. I realize I got a temporary license, but will my real license have an expiration date of 12/5/20 unliked the temporary license whose expiration date is 12/5/19

Patricia, your real licence will have an expiration date 5 years from now, usually on your birthday.

Yes your temporary license is only until your real one comes in. It will be about a week and you should have your new one.
