Is the gate open today for swimming does anybody know
The bacteria was found ONLY in the porter potties, which probably had every rare bacterium ever to exist!! Nothing was found in the water nor the beach. It was closed for"the season" by DPH because of the rare bacteria in the vacinity and during a pandemic, it was a regulated act only. It should be open.

No. If the beach is closed due to bacteria, there is NO swimming. The dry beach should be usable, but not the waters edge part.
