The first Texas Roadhouse was in Clarksville, Indiana so I doubt that it's "Texas Certified". Don't let that stop you from enjoying the Texas inspired atmosphere with country music playing and servers that put a line dance show on during your meal and usually like to include the little kids who are dining to come join. It's a fun place with free all you can eat great tasting peanuts and fresh baked bread/rolls with cinnamon butter. For a "chain restaurant" is about as "Texas Walker" as you'll find. Rustler's Roost (Tempe/Phoenix area) would a little more "authentic". Harold's Corral or the Buffalo Chip Saloon and Steakhouse in Cave Creek would also be choices. Lastly, the Roadrunner Saloon in New River (just north of Anthem) is pretty cowboy authentic.
I don't know. I like Texas too. Lived there several years. I'll ask next time I go.
