I've checked a lot of rescue shelters, and Small Miracles has a lot less paperwork than most. Don't want commitment? Don't want to answer questions? Get a plant.
This is a rescue shelter. I volunteer as a walker here and I know many of the dogs have special needs. We don't want these dogs to come back a month later because you weren't ready. So yes, you may have to jump through some hoops. We do that to make sure you and the dog are a good match.
Not sure what about the Web site you think is worthless, Debbie Gentry. Since you appear to be a professional Web site reviewer, instead of criticizing, why don’t you offer to improve whatever it is you think is wrong with it, given that it’s a volunteer organization.
