TL;DR: Daily Fee* (usually) Long answer: Universal's Express Passes are a pay-to-play option that you can buy that is either good for once per attraction, or unlimited rides all day. This is a one-day add-on to whatever admission pass you already have. *The exceptions are: the Premier Annual Pass which grants you an after 4pm once-per-ride Express benefit, per day; and, the hotel or other multi-day and event packages in which you can purchase multi-day Express tickets as an add-on.
Fast pass (Disney), Express Pass (Universal)...tomato, potato. It is something you would get for an entire day, and then There are actually two options, both are valid for an entire day. You can opt to buy an E.P. for both parks on the same day or to use in just one park per day. I don't think you can purchase one for a single ride though. If you go to Universal's website, you can play around with the pricing options for tickets and express passes.
Fast Pass is included
You mean "express pass" right? It's bought separately and it may be for a whole day or a single ride.
