Family coming Labor Day weekend? What/if any are the covid guidelines? Do we need to purchase tickets in advance due to limitations?

It's a holiday weekend, so it will probably be busy. There is no reservation system and tickets do not guarantee entry. You would need to arrive early at the park. The COVID guidelines have recently been relaxed and may change by the time you go. The most accurate information will come from Universal's website describing "Safety Guidelines." Masks are currently not required for vaccinated guests, they do not require proof of vaccination, unvaccinated guests are expected to wear masks indoors, distance is recommended between parties.

I would purchase tickets in afvance if I were you. There were no covid guidelines (which was scary) guests were getting on and off rides and no one was wiping anything down or spraying or anything. The most scary part is no one cares. Everyone was just happy go lucky and jumping on the rides with no concern of covid

As of June 2021. Masks optional for fully vaccinated guest. Required for non-vaccinated guests when indoors. Recommend 6 foot social distance. Hand sanitizer located everywhere

I agree purchase tickets in advance and prepare to be in longs lines throughout the park.

Go the extra $$ and get Express passes, plus the meal plan. Wait times for rides/attractions are virtually nil with the Express passes. Also, Covid guidelines relaxed. All of our group had been vaccinated, and from what I observed, most of the crowd had been as well.

Buy your tickets and get the meal / drink plan in advance. Masks for unvaccinated, but they are not checking/verifying at this time. They are packed now, expect waits. Staying at an affiliate resort and they provide free transportation to and from.

Hi Karen, our family was there last week and I highly recommend buying tickets in advance & getting there early. You'll be glad you did when you see the traffic to enter & the parking! As for masks, they are not required for fully vaccinated individuals. Those not fully vaccinated "should wear masks while indoors" per their announcements. As a travel agent, I'd love to connect with you & take care of getting all your arrangements secured, including your tickets. I can also give you some pointers we learned from our trip! Let me know if I can help in any way.
