I would like to contact the lawyer of the accused in a dv case. I am the alleged victim and don't want to press charges. Is this possible?

Normally the state press charges. That's been my experience as the victim and defendant.

No, the state pursues DV charges, for the exact reason of someone calling the police in fear, and later changing their minds because they "love" their abuser. Once you've made that call to police, it is out of your hands, unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it. Either way I wish you the best of luck.

You can give it a try, from experience I doesn't work that way. I am not a lawyer or say that I am versed in giving such advice, it would be best to speak with one to find out this information, good luck!
