If I could give 0 stars I would except for the kindness of their staff member, Anna who remained pleasant and accommodating while the rest of her team was anything but and the initial phone call to set up arrangements. Things went south right after the initial phone call when they failed to take down my phone number properly even after I repeated it several times. Save for Anna things went from bad to worse to just get this over with. If you’re looking for a funeral home that treats the death of a loved one as a big business- you’ve found your place. If you’re looking for kindness, compassion and a team that is communicative right from the start- go elsewhere. Bummer because I know my deceased loved one respected Mr. Janssen as a neighbor and acquaintance. I would have loved to had the opportunity to feel the same way about his business.

Worst experience I have ever been through. My son passed away unexpectedly and his body was transported to Janssen Evergreen funeral home. His body was at the funeral home for 4 days and I was never notified. I ended up calling the funeral home to see if they had his body. I asked why they didn't call me and all I got was, "we dropped the ball. " I requested and paid for a viewing and told Steve I wanted my son in his clothes. When we arrived for the viewing Steve showed us where to go and said he was in a hurry as he had to go to a funeral. The preparation was so bad I could not believe it was my son and he was in a hospital gown. I confronted Steve and he refunded the amount of the viewing which did nothing to ease my pain. I wrote a letter to the Janssens explaining how their unprofessionalism affected me and my family. I have not heard a word from them. I still don't have a death certificate 2 months later. I would never recommend Janssen Funeral Home to anyone.

We recently lost our father to COVID. We were all so consumed by the sudden loss we really weren’t sure what or how to deal with after care and funeral arrangements. The staff and management at Evergreen Memorial went beyond their call of duty, as they worked with us to ensure all my fathers final wishes were met. They are a compassionate group who take the time to engage. They understand the stress that comes with loss and work with you to ensure a stress free process. We are so thankful for everyone there for their compassion and willingness to work through the intricacies people deal with during sudden loss. Thank you Evergreen, from the bottom of our hearts. -the Angasan family.

Incredible and caring staff. During our most darkest of days losing a loved one, Evergreen was so understanding. The staff are very qualified and professional. While they were performing the necessary task at hand, they never lost sight of the fact that they were dealing with human beings. Statements like “take all the time you need”.. While having meetings and discussions. They even reached out to us a few times well after the services to just check up on the family and offer their kind thoughts and prayers.
