We do recommend doing an annual sanitation along with the filter change, which is something you may not be able to do youself. I would recommend a technician come out to do a filter change so you can see the process and to make sure you would be comfortable doing the work. Along with the filter change, the technician will also check membrane performance, change battery for leak controller, and sanitize system.
