My Insurance company came to a conclusion that my vehicle was a total loss. How do I go about it to release liability if I don't know who purchased the vehicle?

There is a simple form attached to the title, "Notice of transfer and release of liability". A similar form can be downloaded from DMV or obtained at the branch office near you. Completion and mailing of the form or turning the form in to the office satisfies the release of liability. Keep a copy. There is no need to know to whom it was sold.

On their website there's a form you fill out and turn in. It's as simple as that

That's a good question. I'm not sure. The DMV might know more than me.
