Go about 1-2 hours before low tide and you can stay until about 1-2 hours before high tide.
And remember that Asilomar is a Marine Protected Area, with no gathering of rocks, shells, animals or seaweed. Take pictures to preserve your memories and the environment!
It's going to depend upon the tide tables, don't go at high tide pools will be too far to look at.
