No, its more of a boating slough, with exciting wildlife such as sea otters and seals, and sea birds, of all kinds that you would need to experience from a boat, wont see much marine life on land, however it is full of life, and you would get the opportunity to see up close in the water, pay attention to the tidal chart and go at the appropriate time, or you may find yourself in the ocean, tee hee hee. Btw, they also offer kayak lessons, and kayak rentals, call for schedule, I have my own, kaiak so not sure of details

No tide pools but beautiful inland water courses in which the tide moves. Birdlife and an expansive sandy beach broken by the Moss Landing harbor and Elkhorn Slough.
