You should call the Buddy foundation and set up orientation you will go on three Mentor walks the first one the Mentor will walk with you and teach you the ropes...the second Walk The MENTOR will walk first and you will take the second half...the third Mentor session you will be in charge of the dog by yourself with Mentor supervision... It isn't exactly easy. I found the easiest way is to to into the shelter and fill out a hard copy of the app instead of doing it online. Then the receptionist will give your application directly to the volunteer coordinator. Good luck!
You can fill out volunteer form on our website or come to the shelter in person and complete a volunteer form. Be sure to mention what your preference is cats or dogs.
